Blood Magic Sorcerers harness their magical power from the life force of the earth or from the blood of living creatures. These powerful magic users have an aura that has a negative effect on enemies that enter it and allows them to draw magical energy from the wounds inflicted on them.

As a battle progresses and more wounds are inflicted to both friend and foe, the more magical power they have available to them. If there are no wounds available to draw magical energy from, they may inflict wounds on themselves to have a source of power. The closer to death this magic user is, the more powerful they become.

They may also draw energy from the lifeforce of the land around them. Harnessing magical energy this way is far less potent and rewards fewer Sorcerer Points to shape spells but provides an alternate means of harnessing power other than through blood.

These sorcerers are tougher than most and gain more power if they have a Construct Mutation (Fleshless, Vampyric, Wraith) or are around any undead constructs. These Mutant Forms are determined during character creation when creating your character’s species.
