Void Magic

When a Void Sorcerer harnesses magical power, they open several conduits to siphon raw energy from the Void Realm. To represent this, the player has available to them a number of dice. The random value of this dice roll is the amount of Sorcerer Points that were taken from the Void Realm.

The dice size and amount can be increased with character progression for a greater chance at a higher Sorcerer Point value. They may spend Stress to hold a conduit open if they want to keep a dice value the next time they harness magical energy instead of rolling it for a random number.

Void Sorcerers have a higher Sacred Number than most starting in character creation. This number is measured against their target’s Toughness value when determining how many Sorcerer Points it takes to shape a Spell Effect. The closer this number is to the target’s Toughness value, the fewer Sorcerer Points it takes to shape most Spell Effects.

Spell Affinities are chosen by this magic type instead of being predetermined. Spell Affinities are certain Spell Effects that come natural to a specific magic type. The Sorcerer will receive a small bonus to their Sorcerer Point pool when shaping a Spell effect that is part of their Spell Affinity.
